M&S logo

The Mekka & Symposium was a demo-scene party that was organized annually at Easter. Young Multimedia artists gathered for four days in order to meet similarly-minded people, to exchange ideas and to participate in the competitions, in which individuals and groups showed off their talents in a certain form of electronic art called Demos. Mekka & Symposium 2002 was the eighth and last event in a traditional party series that started back in 1995, when 300 mostly German visitors attended the BlackBox Symposium. For the 2002 event, about 1220 visitors came from all over Europe, and beyond.
