World Chapas Championship

icon A novelty Bottlecap-flicking racing game for one or two players, originally developed with DIV in 1997 and first ported in 2005, now re-adapted to be more functional on Dreamcast.

World Chapas Championship is probably one of the more unusual early games to be developed with DIV Games Studio, the goal of the game is to beat your opponent to the finish line by taking turns flicking a bottlecap around a race track. Directional control is available along with a strength meter to vary the range when flicking the cap, if you veer off course you'll return to the same point on the track when your turn became available.

World Chapas Championship was developed with DIV by Hammer Technologies in 1997, the game was originally adapted for Dreamcast by Wraggster in January 2005.

This release comprises of World Chapas Championship along with DCEvolution's version of Chui's Fenix SDL Loader (FSL) from November 2004, edited to exclude the Fenix splash screen and jingle, so the game loads directly. The remaining text within the game has been translated to English, World Chapas Championship has also been edited so all the control options are now more user friendly on Dreamcast.
