Kickstarter Campaign

A Kickstarter campaign was launched August 28, 2015 with a goal of $75,000 to commercially produce Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs for Nintendo 3DS and Steam (PC, MAC, Linux), a Dreamcast version of the game was one of the campaign stretch goals. In the September 6, 2015 update of the campaign, it was announced that the Dreamcast version would now be included in the main goal, making it possible for pledges to go directly towards a physical Dreamcast version of the game from the start.

In the September 24, 2015 update of the Kickstarter campaign, it was announced that exclusive limited edition versions for Dreamcast and PC Engine were available (200 units for each system), the Dreamcast limited edition would have exclusive packaging, a poster and would be a 2-disc set with the game OST on disc 2. Coinciding with the campaign update, a Dreamcast promotional demo was also made available for download.

The Kickstarter campaign for Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs was officially funded on October 2, 2015.
