The game is an addictive clone/expanded remake of Space Invaders, there are three ships to choose from, with each ship having its own strengths and weaknesses, bonuses within the game include energy boost, weapon shot upgrade, destroy all enemies within the phase, and skip the next phase. There are various enemies, ranging from single shot causing minimal damage, to lasers causing paralysis and temporary weapon malfunction, there's also kamikaze enemies in the later phases of the game.

EpsiloN was developed in 2001 by Papada Soft as an example game for the second DIVnet contest, EpsiloN was also one of the first Fenix games ported to Dreamcast by Chui in March 2004, the port was PAL only and suffered from a few bugs, that version of the game and the original source has been archived for historical purposes along with all the other first Fenix ports on this page.

This release comprises of the game EpsiloN along with DCEvolution's version of Chui's Fenix SDL Loader (FSL) from November 2004, edited to exclude the Fenix splash screen and jingle, so the game loads directly.

EpsiloN has been re-compiled specifically for the Dreamcast, and the text within the game has been translated to English. The controls for the game were originally for Mouse and Keyboard, they have been reconfigured for the Dreamcast controller. Due to limited memory resources with the Dreamcast, the original menu for the game, the music, sound configuration option, and level editor have all been removed. However, all of the game play elements remain, even the very high default difficulty setting.
